Bushes

Post by drjim »

Baur has started rattling at speed and horribly on braking - obviously using it on a trackday is the cause, alongside 30 year old bushes. I am looking at the polybush kits on ebay, but is it worth it?

It also clunks on bumps so I need spring rubbers too, maybe get the whole lot from stealers, or is poly exponentially better???

they are totally worth upgrading, not sure about the ones on ebay but i bought the ones from superflex. knocking could be that your top mounts are a bit knackered?

Think whole lot are FUBAR, but rear top mounts are my chief suspect for clunking. Need oil change and MOT soon so I am pondering taking it to garage and getting it all sorted in one go. Easy to DIY but I don't have time, unless Nas wants the work>>>

I have some steering rack ones ready to fit, think Murran gave me them, did you make them for him? Rear beam bushes new so it's just everything else front/rear needs doing. MOT is April as I recall, if you want to do it I'm happy to pay, if not it can go to garage up the road. It'll probably pass MOT as it is but I'd rather get the bushes renewed while it's there than mess around DIY.

I've got a set of Murran steering bushes on the 323i M50, I rate them, especially replacing the fooked old ones (remember that Nas??). I'd buy another set for my 316, and maybe a set or two of poly'd rear beam bushes depending on price?

ahah yeah "Yeah that whole rack is actually moving about Rob... :? " "WTF! :( "

beam bushes...no spare beam bushes, so you would need to send them.. I can do a couple of steering rack bushes i think i have enough urethane left. but you'd have to wait a little while..

I'd be interested in some poly steering rack bushes.

What sort of price are we talking about?
