Car won't start.... Edit; Fixed :-))

Post by Orjan »

I took my car up on a lift and changed the coolant, and when I should drive it off, it wouldn't start... I suspect it's the fuel pump, since I can't hear it "buzzing" when I turn on the ignition, but I'm not sure.

There's no spark, but that's because there's no fuel I think...

Anyone experienced this before???

Orjan,

The spark and the fuel is not connected. No fuel does not mean you will not have a spark.

No spark and no fuelpump must be something electric.

Looking the ground cable connect on the subframe first. If it's ok, take a look to the fuel pump fuse!

It was the "thermal switch"; I unplugged it and the engine started like a charm :boogie

Mine can be a bit reluctant to start once warm (and sat for a bit) so I'll give that a try next time, thanks!

I am working on a E21 323i with the same issue. We will try it next time. Thanks.
