Hi Guys, I am trying to organise a bit of a get together at a track day. It won’t be an exclusive e21 day but the aim is to get some classic BMW’s together and have some fun.
The circuit is in Llandow South Wales and is an excellent small circuit perfect for smaller nimble cars.
We could organise convoys down from London & the SE and the Northern types will probably find this circuit is just a case of bearing right after Birmingham.
The whole day is Just £80 which I think is the cheapest full day of track use anywhere in the UK. The format is that the morning is run in groups based on ability, Novice, intermediate, expert. This is the perfect chance to have a go on the track if you have never done it before. Go out in the Novice group and you won’t feel any pressure to go faster or do anything out of your comfort zone. There are a maximum of 10 cars on the track at any one time but this is unusual, it is usually less.
Then in the afternoon an open pit system is in place.
All the information can be found here
http://www.llandow.com
If you would like to attend then please book directly with the circuit and then reply back on this post so we know how many are going. I would advise not leaving it too long as the places go quite quickly.
We could try and combine this with a Wales drive it day? Any feedback would be appreciated.
James on the 02 forum is also going to invite any 2002 drivers which may like to attend.
Thanks

Re: Track Day in August
I might be interested, but its a long way to tow from Dover.
Assume you mean the 10th August, and it seems to me its a 30 car day (three groups of 10), unless they limit you to 5 laps at a time like they do at goodwood.
