Wheel advice please
Hi all, apologies for the vagueness of my questions but I'm currently in Afghanistan and haven't seen my new e21 in the flesh yet. I believe the wheels are standard 15" bbs alloys, do you all think this is the case, and also if it is, what is there et? Basically I'm looking at a set of bbs rm's, they are 7.5j fronts et 22 and 8j rears et 14. I wanted to know how these would sit in comparison to the standard wheels? Any help is really appreciated as I can't help myself but want to get started on making her my own. Anyways enough talking, here's a pic......

Re: Wheel advice please
Standard E21 offset is ET13, which goes some way to explaining the limited number of suitable rims available.
You'll need a 10mm spacer up front, to clear the TCA. The rears should be fine. You'll need to run some stretch and ideally, have your arches rolled, to get some extra clearance. This is dependent on the ride height obviously. I ran 8's & 9's on my old car.

Theres a website called www.willtheyfit.com
You need a spacer at the front if you have a rim thats less that et13 because it will touch the track rod end. This isnt a problem if you run 16's as theres enough room.

Nas love your new Avatar
Have felt just like Basil several times this year when
1 halfshaft broke and dropped wheel on CJ Jeep in snowdrift in lane outside house
2 Herman's ECU packs in last run on Sloc Hillclimb
3 Even my MG ZT-T (last car working) developed a massive fuel leak
4 GMC Camper had a similar fuel leak
5 Camilla's heater matrix started to leak
URG- Old cars.......................
All now fixed!

Re: Wheel advice please
Sorry to bother you again lads, as one of the rear 2" dishes is slightly kinked I've been looking for other dishes kicking around, found some 3" rears and 2" fronts, how much room is there for these, I want to run fairly low ideally but want as much dish as possible at the same time....
Re: Wheel advice please
Ive had 3" dish on the back but had to run skinny tyres and massive camber. It was cool to look at but with all the power it was wasted.

Re: Wheel advice please
Thanks for the heads up bud, will steer clear as like I say I want to drop it a fair bit.....did you get my pm about the headlight grills?
Re: Wheel advice please
Sorry to resurrect this lads but basically these are the wheels I've finally picked up for the e21
http://classifieds.wheel-whores.com/cla ... s/view/169
Firstly can anyone tell me there offset running the current dishes....and also do I just need a 10 mm spacer up front? Can I use the standard BMW wheel bolts? And finally I'm picking up 4 205/45/15s so if anyone has 2 195s they want to swap for my fronts that would be a sweet extra bit of stretch
