The chrome came off the rears before the glass, I've been refitting things in the reverse order to how they came off.
If its easier to fit with the chrome in place, then I'll pop them out, of all the windows, they were the easiest to fit by far.

Having had a look, you're right, the chrome winglets should have gone in before the glass! My bad!
Got started on the wheels today.
This will probably a fairly long job
This is how they started:

Then, with the help of this:

I did this:

Need to find somewhere that sells a decent primer and then get some paint on them. Judging by my 182 wheels on the RB, these should look good

How long were you at that wheel then to get to that stage?

About an hour or so? Maybe a little longer.
There's a fair amount of paint on them, so I'm making sure it's all level and keyed up.

Did the sunroof today, sounds an easy job, but I wasn't the one who removed it, and it was pretty tricky to get it fitted. Two minds make light work of it though and my mate was round to help out
Needed to recover the underside of the sunroof before fitting it.

New headlining:

After some head scratching a bit of fiddling, we got there:

Need to order a new door window seal as the passenger one is a bit rubbish.
Very little left to do on the exterior now.

Hey Eddie,
Nice seeing you the other week, really looking forward to seeing this back on the road - first rate work by the way.

Re: Eddie's E21 316
Got some work done recently:
Manky wiper arms painted black and fitted to the car, along with the scuttle panel and washer jets:

Also purchased some vehicle dollies. They're really good quality from the looks of it, and make moving the car a lot easier, although the movement is a little hard to master!

I've also sorted most of the poor fitment of the wing too. It was sticking out a long way at the base, I'm attributing this to the fact the wings are non OEM.

Anyway, I drilled a 6mm hole in the wing, and the side of the jacking point, then put a bolt through it and a nut on the back, and voila, it worked perfectly.
The bolt is tucked away under the sill too, so you can barely see it.

The passengar side was a little trickier, the wing was sitting lower down and wouldn't bolt straight into the jacking point.
This may look quite rig up, but it's done as neatly as possible.
I made a bracket, and drilled it so it could be bolted to the jacking point, I then drilled it again lower down to allow the wing to bolt up to it.
Worked a treat

That's all for now, and pretty much all the exterior done, bar the rear bumper and a few bits that need sorting in the wheelarch.
Speaker wiring should be going in very soon, then I can finish the dash and get cracking with the carpet

Glad its sorted, but the fitment of these panels appears to be way off. W&N metal, correct?

Good work Eddie, if you haven't already sorted your wiperarms, I have a pair of ones I had powdercoated recently. Didn't dawn on me that they differ between left and right hand drive cars, so can't use them on mine
