Hello folks...

Post by grifterkid »

Just a quick one to say hello...

I'm not an e21 owner but I am definitely considering it and a good friend of mine recommended this forum as he has a stunning 320/6 and said that here is a good place to talk shop and see where the good e21's are lurking...!!!

I look forward to getting stuck in and having a wander around this superb looking forum :thumbsup

Welcome! Tell us some more man, about you, your automotive preferences, what you're currently after, and quite important: where you're located.

Have fun here!

Had a load of Grifters back in the day so the name kind of stuck...!!!

I'm in Swinging Surrey in the UK and there are some lovely e21's knocking about near me that I get to see every now and again when they're taken out for a drive.

My earliest e21 memory comes from way back in First School when a school-friends mother had a 323i Baur convertible in bright red... That certainly made an impression even though I was only about 5-6 years old...!!!

Nowadays I have a Mk1 3-litre Granada and a Triumph Toledo... The refinement of BMW's from the 1970's has always fascinated me and a good friend of mine had a 520/6 and now has a 320/6 both of which got me seriously thinking about getting stuck in...!!!

If I could find a reasonably priced, pre-'81 e21 in any (original!) flavour I would give it some serious consideration, and then some...

Anyhow, that's me for now

I had one too, had to stick a wheel spoke in the rear hub to make it stay in second gear cos I kept snapping the gear, also when you stood up to pedal and wasn't careful you would inadvertently change gear and fall off. haha :) grifters were awesome man,
