Still looks good as ever. 8)

Thinking of doing the same thing with a set of bumpers on my car. What I need is someone with photoshop skills to do it first though.

Well version 2.0 is here. It's quite a bit like version 1.0. The biggest change is the rear louvers and the shortened front subframe. The car puts the M42 pan on the ground now and really I wouldn't need more than a few more millimeters if anything at all. Time to drive it and enjoy. I'm aiming at shooting a nice video of the car in the near future.

Air ride :( it just seems too easy

How come you had to narrow the subframe?

As always the car looks awesome lol

Shortening the subframe is one of two ways to get this low. The control arms will strike the subframe well before you get this low, atleast on a post 79 car. Not sure about early models.

Air ride is because I love my car. The paint is nice and I intend to keep it that way. I love the way it looks low but don't want to drag it over road transitions, speed bumps, or other things. I've driven the car low for many years static, and it's a hassle. I like the feeling of getting in the car and realizing that I can drive it just about anywhere without hesitation or concern. And when I get there... it will look this good. The ride is incredibly comfortable, but at the push of a button can become incredibly tight and sporty. I know the low look isn't for everyone, good thing I built the car for me.

Ah I see now. Good idea!

How's it ride when really low? Does it get softer the lower you go or is that a misconception?

I would think the opposite applied, and the more height, the more pillow soft the ride. Definitely a sweet ride, hope mine looks as good some day!

The ride when low is very soft. The bags have very little pressure in them so the displacement they can move through is significant. Luckily the dampers available with the constructors kit from airlift are adjustable so I have them turned up quite tight, so this keeps the car controlled rather well. As you inflate each bag more and more, the pressure inside obviously increases. This basically makes the "air spring" tighter. At full height the car is rock solid. Very stiff. So the ride quality is adjustable, each adjustment either raises or lowers the car though.
