The nicest E21 I've ever seen...
Re: The nicest E21 I've ever seen...
Thanks for taking the time to respond neek.
Have you got pics of when it's not at parked up height and when your at optimum handling / stiffness?
I have a similar requirement to you but I love going fast but I also want to be at a lowish height when I'm doing it. Just wondering how high the car has to sit for that to be feasible on air bags.

Top work, as ever. I really like the idea of air for a street car. Especially when, like here in London, the road quality is just so poor. Love the window louvre too. I used to have one on my MK3 Cortina back in the day.
Looks much cooler on your 21 though Neek.

nevermind Neek, my mate who rides his mk1 jetta at silly low levels pointed out that there is a solution available for people like me

this post is probably borderline spam, sorry about that.

The "cup kit" as they call them are a good idea, it just isn't very practical. You have to do all of the work for a full fledged air system, but don't get all the benefits. You need a tank, a compressor, valves, wiring, all those things that people hate about doing air ride for just an inch of clearance. I would find myself in situations where that inch of clearance is insufficient. I'm not saying it won't work for specific people, but for my money I would rather have the full adjustability of a full bag over strut solution. My two cents.nas80 wrote:nevermind Neek, my mate who rides his mk1 jetta at silly low levels pointed out that there is a solution available for people like me

The car gets pretty low in the front.

I really should get my camera out, but the iPhone is so convenient.

did notice, that's the precise reason I had my m50 sump modified so its level with the subframe. No wonder you kept on breaking it,
