Maybe this will seem as a really stupid question to most people having a nice place to fix their cars
How easy/difficult is it to carry an M10?
Afaik it weights around 80-90kgs? Would it be very difficult for two persons to carry it down a rather narrow stair?(and maybe some day up again)

Re: Carrying an engine
Moved an M10 around with a mate once, not too bad. It had the carb/inlet and exhaust mani still on it. We used a 1.5m scaffold pole and lots of rope, just be careful it doesn't slide onto whoever goes down the stairs first!

Yeah, I've carried an M10 before with a mate down some stairs. Not fun, but doable. It was just the long block, no intake or exhaust stuff. We just held onto the engine mount arms and parts of the bell housing.

Re: Carrying an engine
Thanks guys.
Just to be on the safe side, I guess I should try to find another solution, and a secure place on the ground, not having to go down the stairs...

its only a 1.6 coffee grinder, not a 5.0 V8...two can handle the job easily.
