Mal is fixing arshads, he mentioned something about the motor having the incorrect gear or some sort of problem with cables and such like, he said he was having a nightmare and now dislikes sunroofs.

I would take the WHOLE e30 electric sunroof and see if it fits in the hole or if you can take the metal bit off and bolt it to the e30 mech?

Ring Arshad he might be able to give you some more info I reckon,

It's quicker to wind it yourself.

Some 2002's had electric sunroof so it's bound to be do'able if you're determined to replace the keep-fit version.

I've seen standard fit e21 electric sunroofs. It's possible.

Electric sunroofs, electric mirrors, but no damned electric windows as standard! Got to love German thinking sometimes! :D

I prefer manual windows. They're not exactly hard work.

Sorry for seeing this late fellas. E30 sunroof mech can fix. Mine was working well at one time, but maybe one tooth put has caused problems. Best to have an e21 mech and e30 one out on a shelf, get it working roughly and put it in. I will take photos when mine returns, promise!

How about an aftermarket electric sunroof? Are they not good?
