E21 trip to Germany this weekend!

This weekend, Sep 27-29, the Dutch and Belgian E21 community is going to Germany!

Plan is to drive over to our hotel in Daun in the middle of the Eifel region on Friday, have drinks and dinner there. Saturday we'll be driving most of the day, more food & drinks afterwards. Sunday we'll be at the Ring as that's only a 15 minute drive.

The weather forecast is great and there are two more hotel rooms left. PM me if you're interested!

Yeah, when mine is finally reliable, I would defo be up for a meet/mini tour. One day I'd really like to drive mine back to the factory, and ask them if there is any corrosion warranty left!?
But seriously I'd love to do a euro trip in mine.

You don't even have to leave the UK, there's some great roads in this country, and plenty of destinations to enjoy.

And that's correct, too. For us it is easy to drive over to Germany or Belgium and the Dutch & Belgian E21 community does that at least once a year. Usually a weekend, but we've done 5-7 day trips to the Alps as well. About to fire her up to drive to the Ring today. There I will find abt 10 other E21's and we have some special E24-E28-E30 and E34 material coming with us as well!

exactly. we should start organising some - some weekend UK drives along some awesome roads to very nice scenic spots / Wales / Scotland / Yorkshire etc.. maybe we could get to a sharknose meet and do a ring trip?

hopefully everyone will have finished building cars by next year

I think the only way to really make this happen is to really make a commitment. Have one guy coordinate things and all pay a down payment, and go for it. No criticism but we had one cancellation after planning this for months and that was because of a death in the guy's family. Other than that only more people showed up. No excuses, be there. Doesn't matter where, either a weekend in the UK or a trip to Europe, doesn't make a difference in my opinion. I'm always amazed by the fact that its so hard to get a few people together to do something while I'm sure there are more E21 fans in the UK than in our little country. Or am I missing the boat completely now?
