Hey guys how's it going....my names shayne I'm from connecticut and I've loved bmws as a kid ...I started with e30s now I'm lookimg into a e21 I love the looks of them. I'm lookimg to buy a cheao 5 speed to fix up and slam . Anything I should know about e21s:) thanks guys

Rust is the thing to watch out for, especially as you're not in a dry state! The sills, the front jacking points (that aren't for jacking btw!), B pillars at the bottom front corner of the rear side window, rear arches, under side of the chassis legs toward the back of the engine bay, inner wings (fenders), the fuel filler neck and the area behind it in the rear arch that collects crud. Yeah, there's plenty of places to look, but if you get a good one, they're great cars. I've only had mine since June and I wouldn't sell it for twice what I paid, i love it to bits!
