hello peeps I got a 316 1.8 petty 1983

looking for parts pretty much everything says years from 1977 to 1982 but mines 1983

things like
fan belt
breaks
plugs
leads

does the years matter thanks dan

Yes the years are very important. In '79 I believe, they did a "facelift" and changed many parts. Plug in your VIN at this site and it'll bring up and Illustrated parts catalog for everything you can imagine and more. Dealership part #'s, (close) prices, and whether or not it's still available, as some parts have been discontinued, have to get those ones second hand.
