I've got a question my car has power steering and my engine (316 1.8 m10 81) is playing up might be replacing.if I get a engine without power steering can I convert to non power steering using the rack on the car? or can I move everything over from my old lump to use the power steering?
Thanks

Re: Power steering options
If you want to convert to no power steering you need a manual rack, but why not move everything to your new engine? Its just the pump that needs to be moved over I guess.

Yeah Jeroen is right, providing you take the engine out from above all you would need to swap over is the pump and your new M10 should have the holes to bolt the p/s pump bracket onto it.
Re: Power steering options
I think I will keep the powersteering as it works well and if it's a matter of bolting it on to the new m10 as you guys say should be easy enough just unbolt it when it's still in the bay I'm guessing
