need advice on selling my baur for the best price

Hi guys. Been awhile since I have been here and I won't bore you with the details. I hope you are all well. I have to sell my Baur as I have been accepted at university and I start in Sept. Gonna have to move and there is no way to keep her. The problem is I ran out of cash and can't finish putting it on the road. The engine is mostly rebuilt, it is just waiting for new rings,bearings ECT as I had the block measured and deglazed. As you know, its hard to sell an unfinished car without loosing the money pit in. I ha e around 3,500 in the car at the minute. I'm prety sure I could finish it for around a grand. I have had it posted for 3500 obo bit no bites. I don't want to part it out as she is rust free and that's hard to find. Any thoughts?

I just re - read that ....I was not clear....I want to post it here but I don't know which way to sell it. Should I sell it as a whole car, part it out, or try to finish it then sell?

What model Baur is it?

Unfortunately, Baur have a limited market and they can be tough to sell. I have a friend with a stunning 323i Baur, that is one of the best out there, which is available for £5k. Sadly I think he'll have to be patient to get that sort of price. Personally I think they are great Summer cars and underrated.

Sadly parting it out will probably make more financial sense.

Yeah I was afraid you might say that. Its a 320a. But I am converting it to a 323a as I have both engines. I was making it a five speed but somebody stole my trans and rear end =/ It has a new rag top now but you can see it in the owners gallery.
