damp in footwell

Post by TopCat »

Having never driven Herman in such wet weather before ;
I find a pretty damp driver's footwell- this is a non sunroof car.

Are there obvious drains in the scuttle that I should look to clear out- or is it a case of new door rubbers both of which have some cracks?

Here are a couple of options:

- rusted corner behind the front wheels (pull carpet for a check)
- inside a-pillars through the doors wiring loom hole
- plastic behind the doorcards ripped or missing
- front windscreen seal

If you can't find a clear source I'd pull the carpet aside and see where you find traces after more water

My money would be on the windscreen seal, but the others are alot easier to check out, so start there!
