Re: What did you do to your E21 today?
Just received rear 323i trailing arms and calipers from Nas
Can't wait to have them ready to fit
does anyone know if the handbrake cables from 316 will fit? Or will I need new ones?

Finally, after months and months......
after loads of telephone calls.....
after loads and loads of emails.....
Finally........
it happened.
Finally e21 quick-racks are available in both Right Hand Drive and Wrong Hand Drive.

Had to go and pick up the e87 from the mechanic, so we had to take the little fella in the e21. He absolutely loved it! So much better vision from the baby seat. Pretty sure he loved the sound (and the bumpiness) too.

This is for my "when it rains" Baur which lost its mohair midsection doing 160kmh
So had to to some retrimming.
Removed the leftover glue

Ordered mohair from Bas International and did some gluing

U-shape rubber replaced with a new one, glued the front first

Then the sides

And the result which makes me happy

Started cleaning the E21 up for the Sharknose Meeting.
More interesting perhaps is this lovely article on the E21 Group 5 cars and the 320 Turbo!

Took the m52 out of my car and got the new one ready to go in. I ran out of light and patience from my mrs so I'll have to slot new lump in tomorrow

Re: What did you do to your E21 today?
Took my e21 out today with its new diff and ratio. It's the 1st time I've driven it since the last diff expired in a spectacular fashion in feb. New engine ( another one) and new diff have both been a complete ball ache and I've been ready to set fire to the thing at times. Now there are still some issues that need sorting but for frecks sake the thing is just so awesome and I can't stop taking it out. On it's skinny 165 tyres ( don't ask) and over 200 bhp make for some epic mischief and fun. 2 weeks today to the rally fingers crossed I'm taking the e21.

Re: What did you do to your E21 today?
Well, as you know I'm still selling the baur but I have some more to do to her first. As if I didn't have enough on my plate, I decided while the engine was out I would give the engine bay a once over. I pulled the wiring harness out and then the brake booster as I'm going to respray it. Then I did the cardinal sin
....I kept looking closer and closer......then I decided hmmm.....wont take much to respray the bay while im in here. I looked even closer and then thought....hmmm.....I have gone this far...why not paint the sub frame too...be a shame not to....soo I pulled the whole front end out. But no! I didn't stop there....I looked again and said hmmmm.....head light besels could use a touch up too. To shorten the story....I stripped the body from the windscreen to the front valence. I'm sick...very sick....if you or someone you know is an e21 owner....dont let them look at it! It may result in cumpulsive perfectionism!
