sunroof

Hi,

Do you guys know if the mechanisms of our E21´s webasto sunroofs are similar to the ones in other brands in models of the 80´s?

I need parts for my webasto sunroof and i´ve spoted the sunroof of an 80`s VW golf that looked the same...

Could very well be, I heard some contemporary Ford models also used the same Webasto stuff

I had an early 90's corrado g60 and the sunroof mechanism is different, but then that was an electric one. The actual panel looked similar in size.

What bits do you need anyway? im sure you can get them from the dealer still.

theres a guy breaking some e21's in the for sale section. some bits and pieces are reasonable from the dealer you would be surprised.

What exactly is broken anyways?

I haven't seen it... The workshop said the mechanism was damaged and they just closed it for me (it had been stuck open)...

I guess the best thing is to take it to a sunroof expert..
