E30 Mtech 1/2 Steering Wheel

I like the look of the E30 Mtech 1 and Mtech 2 steering wheels, I assume they don't fit straight onto the splines of the E21 column?

If not, how is best to make it fit?

I switched the whole steering column over

Ha! I guess that's one option, surely that's a ballache though?...

It was just the inner I changed. Only problem was that the steering lock on the E30 operates on the steering wheel while the E21 has a bit welded on the shaft. It was easy enough to weld to the new shaft though

Don't know for sure if this is the kind of steering wheel you're looking for, but this is the one fitted in my car. It was already there when I bought the car, so I do not know what changes were made to make it fit. Would be happy to provide other pics or help of any kind:
