Bushes for E21 323i
Bushes for E21 323i
Hi, everyone. I m from Uruguay, I started to rebuild my E21 323i. I already bought H&R srpings and Bilstein B6 shocks. Unfortunately I have to change almost all the bushes. I would like to know what do you reccomend and where to buy them. Its my everyday car but I would like to use it on the track once a month. I also bought BBS 15" .
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Bushes for E21 323i
I don't know what the roads are like in Uraguay, but if they're anything less than reasonable, I'd highly recommend original genuine BMW bushes. The first set lasted 30 years so they're obviously good quality, and if there's only occasional track days planned, the likelihood is that poly bushes would drive you mad on less than perfect roads. They're still all available from BMW, and not as expensive as you might think.
You could also fit mostly new, but upgrade selected bushes to poly to enhance the responsiveness without too much deterioration in drivability.

they cant have roads as bad as Sheffield in Uruguay!
strongflex do a complete kit for the e21. you can buy yellow or red, one is for fast road and the other is for race.

So true, I swear every time I think my cars broken I go for a roadtrip somewhere and it's magically fixed, then I get home and it's broken again.
When you think your car is broken and it isn't, check the road....

I wasnt overly impressed with some of the bushes tbh not a great fit some seemed a bit small for their purpose some seemed a bit big just my opinion/experience

OK. Thanks you very much. I think I will buy the red ones.

I was thinking and according to the roads, also it is my everyday car and talking to some mates I think the better choice would be the original rubber bushes. Do you know where can I buy a complete kit?
