Engine conversion question (E30 M10B18 > E21)
I am wondering if anyone can tell me whether an M10B18 from an E30 will fit my E21, and my 245 gearbox?
Thanks
Thanks

yes it will, but the exhaust and inlet manifolds have different size ports, the oil pan is different and so are the engine mounts, the wiring is also different obviously.

Not at all. But the kms are clocking up and a cheap M10B18 came up. If it was an easy swap, I was thinking of buying it and store it till the time was right for a swap.

Not at all - other than the bits Nas mentioned it's a straight swap pretty much. Really easy to swap those bits across from your current M10. We've just fitted an E30 M10 in my car - see my build thread in the modified section.E21noob wrote:I see. so not really an easy swap.
