In tank fuel pump

Post by stefankj »

Hello guys, I'm wondering if someone has found a alternative in-tank fuel pump that fits our tank?
or maybe someone here has a good working one willing to sell?

I bit the bullet and replaced mine with OEM pump.....expensive ! A mystery why there is 2 pumps. One in tank, one under car. I also remember trying to figure out the electrical when I was testing the pump. I thought that if the ignition was on, there would be voltage at the pump.....like my 2002tii ....not so !.....engine has to be actually running for voltage so don't let that trick you.

e30 318is fits straight in and has a built in return line.

only drawback is the mark for 1/4 on the fuel gauge will actually be empty.

Thanks for the info Nas80, then one other question comes to mind, is the 318is pump special or does every injected e30 have the same in-tank pump?
