Clutch Master Cylinders gone what replacement?

Post by Mucka »

Hi

My clutch master cylinder has gone, there is brake fluid on the footwell carpet,

My engine the 320/6 carb but can I use a master cylinder from another model like a 323i?

What is the worst part of changing it?
Cheers

Just noticed we didn't have a decent write up yet, so I just added it to the gearbox & driveline section of the FAQ here: http://www.bmwe21.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=13418

Let us know if you need more info!

for info I picked up a 323 master cylinder its slightly smaller than my original one and it worked but shortly after changing it the slave cylinder went too, I bought a slave from Eurocar parts they had one on the shelf from Padig £30
