Hi guys looking for a bit of advice on pricing

I can get a 323i locally its good to very good condition, it has a lot of period alpina parts, staggered alloys, alpina recaro interior, steering wheel.

What the current rate for a good 323i with period extras in Europe (car is LHD)

Really depends on exact condition and originality of parts so it is hard to give a close estimate with this info only, roughly 4-6K Euros I guess. But as Arshad experienced, people calculate with the fact that most cars offered appear to be much worse than advertised so people won't be queuing up to come over to the UK for the average LHD car.

I mostly agree with Jeroen. I think what wasn't in my cars favour was some of the modifications, namely the E30 dash and gearbox - more than it not being in A1 condition. As we've had this discussion before with members, modified may well be an improvement from stock, but it also can hurt values.

Guestimating some of the parts on the car you've mentioned depending on condition though. Parts alone:

LSD: £500-750
Alpina alloys £1000+
Solid Shell £1,500-£2000 maybe?
LHD Dashboard if crack free - (big demand in America because of most of them succumbing to heat degradation (£250)
etc etc,

Any photos of said car? Or do you prefer on getting the deal done and then sharing?

In short though I would buy it if it's a good price Jason. Left hand drive might be worth (marginally) less in the U.K, but will give you much more scope and selling opportunities in the future. Cars can go over to Canada or the U.S and Continental Europe. Even in the U.K Integrale's were getting snapped up as left hand drives and a left hand drive E3 I had my eyes on in sleepy Yorkshire was sold within days.

I've got my heart set on a Jaguar Xj6c at some point and that's going to be a left hooker too.

90% of the right bits looks more like a reshell or dealer built car

And A/C, and the Alpina tag in the wrong location? Well with a bunch of right parts it may be worth quite a bit in parts alone.

The highest B6 by number on the register seems to be 533- which equates to the number built

this one seems to be 642? Which I doubt exists.....................

It isn't no 062 as that one is red and in USA:

So maybe it is no 42? Yet to be discovered.......I have to say that Dubai would be a good place to find original A/C equipped Alpinas.....................

I need to go back for a better check the car is imported from japan recently, but looks to been a US car originally. Unfortunately at the time it was parked nose to tail in the dealers and several cars deep so I could not open the bonnet.

I would say b6 042 is dead and the bits where to build this car, stock 323i with all the b6 trim. Still they want 8keuro for it
