Post by shifty9ine »

Hey there,
Its probably going to sound very stupid but how the heck do you get these bolts out? it seems like there boxed in and there just spinning i cant achually get the nuts of?
is there someone thats a whizz and tell me a way im guessing you have to cut into whatever it is hiding it?
thanks
Darryl

They are more or less boxed in indeed, normally the nuts come off but if they're really stuck some force may ruin the boxes causing the bolts to start turning. Usually that is the moment the angle grinder comes in, unless you're flexible enough to undo the bumper brackets behind the bumper itself (not much room).

I had this problem myself, I had to hold/force the nut hard to one side while undoing it so that the bolt stayed in place. Oh and soaked it in lots of WD40!!!!

Not very technical but hope it helps!
You can't polish a turd.... but you can roll it in glitter!!!!

Angle grinder cut them off.

Then replace them but with copious copper grease / anti seize.

Break off the plastic thats in front of the bolts, they dont serve much purpose anyway, the bumper slides right out after that
