steering? well, best mod on the car after the bilsteins. I can play now, and in closed bends no need to make mortal kombat moves with arms, just steer in the right way
Re: BMW E21 327i (Looniticz INC final stroker pics)
Just went through your topic. Never did, but should have done it earlier. Our cars are remarkingly similar. Also have an E46 PAS steering rack, also re-routed the lines, shortened steering coupler, almost identical steering rack mounts( propably the only option) alpina chassis bar, strongflex yellow and bigger engine also!
You can use e9x tie rods by the way, they are plug and play.
Keep up the good work

Can you describe process and modification required for E46 PAS on E21
Part list would be useful also..
DIY topic would be awesome.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

rear bilstein coilovers made from parts I had at home from another coilover set.

Well start off by shooting the previous owner
Think it does add rigidity, but perhaps less important with the rear strut installed. But why not weld it shut?

Re: BMW E21 327i (Looniticz INC final stroker pics)
I wanted to change the rear part, but after watching what it holds together, I didnt wanted to do that. So I have to veld the crappy job before paint.
I got some self adhesive black carpet, I wanted to paint the whole boot in red and then cover the backwall in black carpet.
Rigidity on the rear now, after the strut, and braces to the new dif mount is really noticeable. I think on chassis modifications and suspension, the car is finished. No room for improvement. As i dont want a cage in my car. Its still a 32 year old car, not a race car.

Quick question on your diff swap
Im doing the same i just want to check something,
Are you running your m20 with e30 gearbox, e21 manual prop and a medium case e30 diff with the modified rear beam????
Have you done anything else?
Cheers

Ok thats good i also have e30 325 gbox, e21 prop and trying to mate it with a medium case (188) diff
This is going to take some explaining bear with me
Had a guy make a beam over here using the whole center from the e30 beam welded into the e21 beam, he made a jig with the 2 beams a small case e21 diff and a small case (should have been a medium case) e36 compact diff with large case output flanges to make it the correct width, he did a great job
Fitted it to my e21 with the compact diff and it fitted perfectly
Once i got hold of my medium case e30 lsd that is going in the car i thought id just check and trial fitted it and heres where the problem began
I couldnt get the diff to bolt up as the prop was basically to long and it turns out that the input shafts on the diffs are different lengths
My point is you have welded in the top half of the e30 beam but it looks like its quite far forward as does the beam i fitted but it seems it needs to be further back as this was my problem ill see if i can get some pics to illistrate, have you fitted this all up ok??
Cheers

everything runs ok, the prop is adjustable from a e30...I forgot about that already.
