So i grabbed this E28 last year November as i bought it on a whim. It is a 1986 5 series, 5 speed Manual, 2.0 litre. ONLY 3 PREVIOUS OWNERS. Nothing crazy special, however.... The car was previously owned by a caring older gentleman who used it on special occasions and bought it in 1991. stayed garaged for 15 years or so. Yes it does have signs of wear but nothing too drastic. I did chuck it in for an MOT and it failed but please look at the MOT slip to see what it failed on, all very minor things. can be sorted within 100 quid. car runs great as i have driven it a few times. all gears pull great. breaks do need new pads but work perfectly fine. small spots of rust as expected. interior needs a clean and so does the car.
To be honest, this car is in better condition than mine in many ways. a cleaner and newer engine bay. better running engine. electrics that work. brand new full exhaust system. tyres with much tread. electric sunroof.
But I LOVE my car so im not selling that one. I can insure this for £200, im 26 with 9 points (dont ask) and a write off on my license.
Really and truly im not looking to make a profit or even break even. Im looking for £600 OBO. Offers will be considered. If this car doesn't sell, then i will be taking parts off it that i need and sending it to the scraper.
THE OIL UNDER THE CAR IS NOT FROM THIS CAR. it is from my previous mini and spitfire.
MOT, the highlighted sections on the MOT (including the brake pivot which i have not highlighted) are all cheap and easy fixes.
