How to remove Roof aluminium Rails

Hi

Does anyone know if you can remove these without damaging them and if so, how is this achieved,

I started at the front and had to roll or twist the trims towards the middle of the car.
Theyre on a lip and wont come off if you lift them straight up.
I started at the front as when you start from the rear they are much more flexible and can bend.
