Radiator upgrade for an M10
I want to improve the cooling on my 316, any recommendations on upgraded radiators?
Any other tips and tricks are surely appreciated!

Unless you're racing/tracking or running some hot engine upgrades, the stock radiator is good enough. If you're overheating at the moment, the cause is probably not the rad (unless it's blocked!).
Failing that, there are a few easy 'upgrades' out there; universal electric intake fans, low temp thermostats, waterless coolant, alloy radiators etc.

There's definitely something wrong if you need to upgrade your radiator. I've got a 2 litre M10 pushing out 151 hp at the wheels and it has the standard radiator.

Reviving this thread, in order not to open a new one, as I have a problem of exactly this sort
Have replaced my thermostat by a new one (I think it is the low temp as well), have fitted an electric fan, and have had my radiator fully cleaned...When I drive uphill, the temp indicator starts climbing over the middle indication. And in spirited uphill driving (aka chasing the car to translate from greek slang ) temperature reaches high indications, near the next indication (3/4) or even more close to the red.
Maybe it is just time for a new rad? (or at least just the "cellulosic" part) if available

Read the FAQ section. I believe the M10 cooling system has enough capacity so perhaps your sensor is bad or the radiator clogged. Don't start inventing workarounds for problems, do somd measurements with an infrared/laser thermometer for example.

Noticed that my overheating problem is not general: Driving a couple of times, on fairly hot days (yes, summer has already started in our neighbourhood) temp both times rose only during uphill driving with heavy foot on the gas. At the same time, I noticed oil temperature reaching 92-95 degrees, while on straight (or downhill), water kept very normal figures, and oil was between 75-85
Still wonder what can be causing this - should I possibly be patient for some more kms, due to the engine still needing "break - in" period in order for metal tolerances to increase?

Radiator clogged, thermostat not opening fully, air in the system, old water pump are common issues. It could also be the radiator cap is opening too soon so the system cannot build up pressure and therefore overheats. First things to rule out.
