Evening all, having recently moved house and having a baby my e21 modding fund is running on empty - boooo. I have lowered the car 60mm and have it looking great on the body work but the wheels really let it down at the moment. I have been offered a set of 17in replica e30 alpina alloys for next to nothing and wondered 1. Will they fit? And 2. Would it look silly? Id love some 15in staggered alpina or bbs splits but beggar's cannot be choosers at present. If any one has any pics or info on fitment id be very grateful.
Many thanks
wheel dilemma.... will 17in e30 alpina alloys look silly?

In my opinion the 17" Alpina replica wheels are a terrible look for all BMW's, incl. the E30 for which they are made.
Stay on 15" or 16" of you need to go big.

Hey Rasmus is back!
Wonder if he's looking for an E21 again
Anyway, I agree with Rasmus but its all a matter of taste. I find 15" big enough on an E21 but sometimes you need to go bigger, for example if you fit a big brake kit. But personally, and when it comes to finding a balance between handling and comfort, I find 15" the best option on an E21. But with the right offset and tyres you can easily fit 17's or even 18".

Thanks for the imput guys, I did however buy these (before reading any replies) they fit fine but look hideous! oh well... i have since been able to lay my hands on some 7 x 13 alpina turbine style wheels and they look spot on although needing a refurb should be fitted very soon. I am planning a brake upgrade but will try and do aomething to fit under the 13's. Once again, thanks for the feed back, it is very much appericiated as always

Well you won't be having too many issues selling the 17's to an E21 or E30 owner. Time for photos of your car in the current setup I'd say!

I have two e30's so they will find a home there I think. I have just posted a pick on facebook as I am struggling to work out how to get one on here ( i am a bit bloody useless with computers! lol ) it is a work in progress but it is getting there slowly
