Kept meaning to post the picture updates but didn't get round to it.

So here goes, picked it up and wrapped it for protection for the 230 mile trip home

Got it mounted back on the spit at home

Some general pics on the spit

Looks great Ben.

Any thoughts on the eventual colour/livery you'll go with?

Thanks chaps, I'm really pleased with the shell so far. It came out quite well with not much filler needed before the top coats can go on.

Jeroen, the D is a replica my dad and I build back in 1995, and modified for racing from 2002 to 2012 (even raced at Zandvoort on 2004/5?),
It was recently resprayed and tidied up as a road car and put up for sale to fund the E9.

Mark, Yes I have a colour scheme in mind, and the paint will be underway middle of October,
The colour won't be officially revealed until SN16, so updates of the painted car will be black and white until then

Regards

Ben

Thanks chaps,

Bit more progress, got the doors fitted with all the catches working and started to finalise the panel fitting and gaps.
Also test fitted the grille setup:

Bit controversial but I think they will suit it being a race car :)

Oh! A Zender look! :screwy

I like it a lot!
Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.
