High Beam

Hi all

Just a small problem I'd like your advise on if possible...

When selecting my high beam headlights (push the indicator stalk forwards), there's often a delay before the lights change, sometimes just 2 seconds but sometimes much longer - it's like a weak connection.

I'm just wondering if anyone has had the same issue before and know's the likely weak point? My guess is that the physical connection in the stalk needs cleaning up, so I'd just remove the stalk and clean up the switch/connections...

What do you think/know?

Hi David, you are on e right way, the contacts at the lamp connection need to be cleaned up. And I would change the relay in the fuse box. There should be one which triggers the high beam function. Check the fuse box and the contacts of the fuse.
