We already saw some polaris on the hinges of the bonnet and bootlid and some little stuff. Old BMW’s with an Uni colour are painted inside and out in the same paint. But the metallic ones not. They have no clear coating on the inside, so the paint is not as bright and shiny as the outside.
To have that same effect, but still apply the most recent products, my painter suggested an Engine bay paint. That has a brightness of about 75% of the normal metallic coating, no clear coat, but much better resistant against cemical substances, like petrol, oil and ATF. So I decided to have the inside, the enginebay, the boot and the underside painted in the engine bay. Polaris, of course.
