2.0 block 1.8head carbed e21

Hi all, i just got a 76 m10 2.0 engine with a bad head came with a 32/36 carb, I also have a rebuilt 1.8 head from my 82 320i. My plan is to run the 2.0 with a 1.8 head and carb it. Ive been trying to find info but everyones doing it differently. The car came missing the fuel system so thats why i want to go carb.i have pix of my starting point but have no idea on how to post them.

I believe I read something about compatibility issues here on the forum but I'm no M10 expert.

Switched plans in the process of putting the 2.0 crank and rods in my 1.8 and carb it

the 2ltr crank and rods would not work with 1.8ltr pistons as the block and rods are the same on both 1.8 and 2 ltr the difference is the crank stroke and the height of the pistons from the centre of the pin to the top...a 1.8ltr head would fit on early 320i 2ltr (usa)bottom end as the 2ltr pistons have flat tops but the compression ratio would be low.........(you don,t say if you 2ltr motor is from a 320i or a 2002 bmw)..a 2ltr carb inlet manifold should bolt up to your 1.8 head but if the head as holes for the kjet injectors rather than the manifold the these would need pluging up..

Its from a us 76 2002, ive heard of people doing the mix for hi comp ratio build but i dont know what to use. I dont have the cis system so i gotta make a carb work itd be nice to get a bump up in power but its not essential just yet
