Heya,
Just having my entire suspension blasted with fine iron grit, my query is what shade of black powder coat finish was the original from production: matt or silk?
Any advice appreciated greatly.
Thanks

Re: Suspension coat finish
Well, standard Factory coating was Not powdercoat, is was spraypainted. Colour black, semi gloss. So I powdercoated it all in gloss. Powdercoating gives a more smooth surface, hence it is more gloss.
Re: Suspension coat finish
Thanks for your input.. So the nearest to original spec would be semi gloss powder coat.
Not sure if you've detailed your brake calipers and manifolds in your post, but which colour should these be top coated to also be original? Obviously will be spray/ brush on paint and in VHT.
I probably share the views of everyone on the forum that your restoration project is brilliant, very professional and helpful. Well done!
Thanks alot

Re: Suspension coat finish
Intake manifold was just aluminium, no coating. Calipers where zinccoated, I think blue, but that is in factor metalcolour.
Thanks for your kind comments om my topic.
