Hi, I'm new to the e21 forum. I spend allot of time on the e9coupe forum but I came across a 1981 320is that was just a few hundred dollars and dragged it back to my hobby shop to look at her bones. She started up with some new gas and a new battery but had no clutch pressure and no brakes. I replaced the rear brakes, & wheel cylinders etc and power bled the system and all is well except a fuel leak from somewhere in the pump area. The fuel lines look like a den of snakes so I thought I would ask my introductory question(s) concerning how to replace all those lines; do I have to drop the tank, and if so I imagine I have to replace the tank connecting hose? Any help would be appreciated.

There's a service door under the rear seat.

Welcome Peter! Pics please!
Please check out the FAQ forum section. With the exception of the breather hose of the left tank half you can replace all the hoses without too much efforts and without removing the tanks. But even removing that left one isn't too hard and I strongly advice too replace them all in one go or you'll be jumping from one leak to the next...

Welcome Peter!! Like Jeroen says, replace all the ruber hoses, thats the only way to go. Don't the big one that connects the two tanks.

Re: Quick intro
I will steal a little time at the office today and start a photobucket account, then I can upload some pictures. She's a little tired or as they say down here "rode hard and put away wet" but the bones are good and one day she'll look like new and drive even better, of course I'm expecting allot of help from the group here

OK, so this is the beast- now that I can up-load I will start a thread on the work in progress. I'll call it "better rot than rust"
Thanks!
