Are these the right Recaros?

I have a pair of leather Recaros in my garage, they may have come from an e24, not sure? The label on the side says:

Recaro Kirkenheim/T
Sitztype: idealsitz LS(81)
KBA 90 024

Will these be OK in a 1981 e21?

looking on the interweb I see most are LS (77)s where as mine are LS (81. Not sure what the difference is though?

They look exactly the same to me but maybe the 77/81 is the width or length?
They are on e24 mountings and I'm not sure if there is an issue with e24s having wider seats for example?
So maybe my question is: do e24 Recaros fit an e21?

I am no expert, but I thought the seat itself would be interchangeable, even some ford, opel, etc. seats from that era would work, but you would need E21 bases. You should be able to sell your E24 bases, another option would be to hack your E24 bases, to make them fit..

I asked Recaro and they don't hold any information at all!

i have the correct e21 mounts so am going to fit them and see what happens, I'm sure someone somewhere will want the e24 mounts?
