This is a silly little question, but I have learned it's better to ask and do it right than guess wrong and stuff it up worse than it was.
I thought I was missing the plastic triangular covers to the mirror attachment points when I bought the car, but recently found them in the passenger door pocket. I went to install them and realised the passenger chrome strip along the top of the door was mounted too far forward by 3-5mm and is not quite sitting right, and preventing the plastic cover to fit.
I can't find anywhere how that chrome strip is mounted, and I didn't want to start pulling stuff off or pushing stuff around in case I broke or ripped something that would be hard to replace.

The chrome on the doorcard is part of the doorcard. So it is almost of the whole doorpanel/doorcard is sitting to high. Got a pic?

Now that I look at it, the door card has come away a bit around the bottom corners....someone has taken it off and not put it back right

My thoughts exacly. Remove the doorcard, put on the plastic covers and put the doorcard back the way it should sit.
