Re: m43b16
Dear Ahmed, welcome! Where about are you based? Any pics of your e21?
With all due respect, why would you want to put in this engine? There are lots of different engines with more power, more bite of even with more cilinders that require the same effort and ajustments to your e21.

Thnx fkr replying dear
Am from egypt but for sorry don have any pic for my car
I found these engine suitable due to less fuel consumption and enough power for me
100 hp with 160 n.m
Or i install m40?
With this one no modification will happen
Tell me your opinion

Re: m43b16
M40 is a good an engine as the m43. M40 have often ticking sounds in head, due to wear on the cam. Also it has a belt, that is a waek point. The m43 has a chain. So if it is to get a reliable engine than I would want the m43 instead of the m40.

Re: m43b16
Good thinking as the M10 is a very reliable engine as well! By the way, welcome!

Re: m43b16
I'm currently fitting an M42 into mine.
I don't know much about M40 or M43 so I can't really comment there.

Re: m43b16
I'm in the process, lots of info in here
http://www.bmwe21.net/forum/viewtopic.p ... 2&start=60
Using my existing 318 m10 5speed box, with another bell housing, engine mounts will probably be custom.
Plan on using the existing gearbox mounts and prop.
Battery relocate to the boot, e30 318is fuel pump with additional return fuel line.

Re: m43b16
3 bar I think.
You need the 318is pump as it has the port for the return fuel line.
