Despite the stripes it's nothing to do with Alpina, and yes one of the stripes is missing on one side, it was like that when I got it :?

It's pretty much stock as a rock otherwise and needs some more tidying up.

Welcome here! The car looks like it's in great nick. Just straighten that deep front spoiler and make the lower part black again and it looks like new to me!

Isn't that the E21 revival refurbed car that was on eBay recently?

Nice car, get some more photos of engine/interior!

Yes that's the same car.

Here's a pic of the interior.

The clutch slave cylinder died when I first drove it home, so I had to get that fixed by a garage and got them to do an oil change at the same time. This also gave me a chance to check out the underside when it was on the hoist, and it's suprisingly tidy underneath as well.

However I did find one of the mufflers has a small hole, so I will probably have to replace both before the next MOT (not until early next year) so hopefully can get something with a bit better sound  .

In the nearer term I think the valve stem seals have gone as there is a lot of smoke on the overrun, so this will probably mean a head off job soon. Might as well take advantage of this to slip in a performance cam or something along those lines.

We are all completely potty aren't we.

Basic theme is "I bought this car and it isn't quite right, so I need to fix it, so I might as well upgrade everything while I am at it"

- having spent about £2k on my £850 car, I am now toying with a stainless 4 branch exhaust manifold at £375 plus fitting before I go to my next track day on the basis that more power is always good. As the garage I used last time can port the head I could get that done as well.

Must remember I have a 344bhp Audi if I want powah!

Anyway, don't let me put you off

In the documents I have one of the previous owners is listed as 'E21 Revival' so I guess it might have been through his hands at some point, although I'm not sure about any restoration work done.

well matey not to worry wether it was e21 revival or not, the issue with your car is that it looks sweet... id either get the stripes finished off or just take em off alltogether and give the car a good buff up. nice and shiny!!!

or if you wanna swap your car for mine at the pic below, id be glad

Nice Car ... Only one thing I don't like about it is the steering wheel ... I would get an original one ... they are on ebay now and then.

Otherwise a nice find and she will certainly give you lots of driving pleasure

Funny thing is I do have the original four spoke wheel, but I haven't figured out how the aftermarket one detaches yet, so I haven't changed it

Ideally I'm on the lookout for one of those three spoke ones you see on some models.
