Hi all. I'm thinking about buying an E39 touring 528i manual, as my daily is an E39. Might there be any interest in the complete engine/gearbox/ Ecu etc. I'm in Glasgow, but I imagine I could get it all on a pallet if need be.

Update. Ive bought it. Engine runs well, other than a split vaccum hose by the MAF. Now Ive got to get it home and strip it apart, and convince the wife its an investment !

Cool, have fun with it! Just take her for a spin before taking it apart. Parting it out will generate some cash!

Oh I will ! As an everyday car, I dont think you can beat an E39 ! After them, they got too complex. I have my 528i touring as an everyday car, my E21 318is baur as a summer car and then my 1960 Sunbeam Alpine 302 V8 as a change underpants car !
