Fischer C-box: specific to RHD / LHD?

Post by RhodyM20 »

Hello everyone,

I own a 1980 320/6, non-A/C console. I purchased a Fischer C-Box (or cassette storage) for it and just gotten around to fitting it.

It is not going in...and I'm wondering if the console has to be disassembled, or if the dash cubby is affected by my car being RHD. I'm worried the C-box was intended for left-hand drive and as such it will not fit properly.

Anyone know if the dash orientation should be affected as it relates to installing the C-box? It looks like it should fit, but it's not going in easily and I don't want to force it.

Seems this is definitely the problem - looks like it's going to fit but the angle is wrong. This is going to be tough to find, but does anyone have a lead on a RHD car with the C-box installed?

Never thought about it but yeah, everything may be more or less mirrored... bummer!
