Hi All,
Can anyone advise how to remove chrome roof rails without damaging them as will need to refit after respray?
I can get a little up / down movement on narrowest part of rail but no movement on windscreen pillar end.
Would prefer not having to mask over these unless I have to.

They are clamped on. Just pull them from the lower side upwards, a small piece at the time, starting from the back of the car.
The wider part at the A-pillar works the same. Be careful and do it gently but wit some force. Do not bend the strip, as it will show in the aluminium.

Rails removed successfully..used a pair of wire strippers with L shaped jaws and thin strip of cardboard so as not to mark the roof panel , worked from rear 1cm at a time, no tears, swearing or damage. Roof seams in good condition too.
