Exhaust recommendations

Post by e21paddy »

Hello all,

I’ve looked for information in this through different E21 owners on instagram and such, with little luck.

Any recommendations for an exhaust, car is a 320/6, Weber carb with I believe a stock manifold and Ansa exhaust at the moment. Ansa exhaust is cocked off Centre and not in its cut out on the rear bumper. Looking to get change to a single pipe, nothing crazy loud but a nice grumble would be nice!

What’s everyone got?

Only a simple pipe from the first muffler to the rear will be very loud. Not to recomend that solution.

I have a universal "sport" absorbsion end muffler and thats already loud, same engine, only injection.

Sorry I meant single tip muffler!

The Ansa is a double tip. I don’t want to wake the dead !!

After some time I thought of converting a 320/6 mid pipe to my M10 setup, but just in time a Simons sport system came on my path. It was a really great bolt on system that sounds nice and lets the engine breath well enough.

You can consider to keep an eye on the interweb for Simons/Supersprint/Eisenmann/Leistritz and hope that it solves itself in time. I have now 54mm all the way with a semi spaghetti manifold.
