Hi All,
I sent my brake booster from my 1982 320/6 RHD to Australia for a swap/rebuild, and it was unsuccessful. From info in this forum, I saw that the Porsche 944 brake booster is a potential candidate as a replacement. What I'd like to know is if this will indeed fit into my car, and if so, would I also need the Porsche brake master cylinder as well? I need to replace the brake master cylinder anyways, so just need to know which one to get if the Porsche servo is a go. Many thanks in advance!
Cheers
Porsche 944 brake booster in 320/6?
Re: Porsche 944 brake booster in 320/6?
I've also noticed in the Porsche 944 catalog there are 2 options for the brake booster: ATE and Girling. Does anyone know which one I should get? And if so, a good parts supplier in the UK? Thanks!

Original BMW places ATe i believe.
I know that the front calipers at the E21 can be both.

Uwbuurman, Peter--a belated thank you! ATE brand brake booster and master cylinder for Porsche 944 fit fine into my 82' e21. Didn't have to alter or bang anything into place. Plenty of clearance. Many thanks again
