My E21 from OZ

Post by blk 323 »

Hi all
Here is my 323i its a June 1980 model, Originally it was reseda green but has been resprayed black. The paint and body work was completed by myself so isnt quite up to show standard but not too bad considering it was painted in my garage. It is currently auto but that should change soon as i have a 5spd ready to go in. I have been visiting this site quite often as a have been trying to motivate myself to finish her off as see hasn't be touched for close to a year. So i will see how i will go just have to wait to the temp to go down it's currently 41 degrees C

Thanks for the feedback.
In regards to the seats they certainly are not original, they are out of, and i hate to say this, a MR2. The back seat and the door trims/cards have been trimmed to match.

Looks even better :)
Nice replacement, did you pay much for them and was it an easy fit?

They didn't really cost anything as they came out of my own MR2. I can't remember how much the retrim cost it was done about 3 years back may have to dig up the receipt for that. Looking back now i would have been a little more fussy in who did the retrim as there are a couple of small quality issues, but on the whole they are not too bad. As for fitment it wasn't too difficult as size wise they are not hugely different to the standard seats but i did have to make up custom brackets, so they certainly are not a bolt in replacement.
