Nice to find some fellow E21 enthusiasts. I've had quite a selection of "beemers" now, but this one has to be the best value for money. I bought it from a trader in October 2006 for very little money as he wanted it out of the way. It had no clutch due to a slave cylinder fault, it needed a bit of body work and the engine was tired. It also needed a shed load of welding. I bought it with the intention of tidying it up and selling it on, but my wife fell in love with it!
Its ended up as a bit of a rolling restoration project. I've just replaced the engine with a good second hand unit, fitted an Ansa exhaust system and a K & N air filter, its also been lowered, but apart from that it's pretty standard.
We've had a lot of fun with it so far and are looking forward to a hot summer of roof down cruising... hmm
After exhaustive research, I've discovered the ansa - its six appeal....
