here is a pic of my old e30 with 7 peeps in it, it refused to move cos the diff was touching the ground, mmmmmm low.

lol very politely put mr arshad but i think we'll have to agree to disagree ;-) lol cut out 5 coils on the rear and 2 on the front and also a bit of bump stop lol, it does drive lol really well suprisingly! Ha ha ha opinions welcome, if you wish to slag it off please adopt the approach mr arshad has and do it respectfully
Oh you're a good sport, and I was feeling a bit cheeky. Perhaps I'm jealous - I don't really have the know-how to cut the coils. Anyway. its all good. I love this forum he he

the know how how to cut coils????????? all ya need to know is where your grinder is and whoop bobs your uncle, jobs done. well i spose i got access to lots of second hand springs nd dampers at fritz so i can afford to destroy dampers, which will prob happen when your dampers bottom out and explode. dont worry bout it though drop it lower!!!!!!!!! oh and i love this forum too!!!!!! whoop

Arshad

I'm sure that between myself and the guys at the workshop we could chop your coils when you aren't looking. Much better to spend 60 quid on some lowered springs though. Chopped coils are for drifty tramp rat cars not nice ones.

MISSKY, these are his words, not mine! And thanks for the offer Jim, or is it another threat to get my car out of there ASAP?

just an option for the guys that dont want to chop coils... send the springs to a spring manufacturer and get them re-set. i did this with two of my spax lowered springs, as the car was too hgih at the back. its pretty cheap too (not as cheap as choppies, but ALOT cheaper than new springs)

How much was it to have trhe springs reset?

I might get an H&R set done at some point as they don't come in a short enough length for my car and i'm fed up with my spax spring damper setup clunking!

Cheers

about NZ$35 each... Cheap aye!
thats assuming you've got spring clamps and tools to pull them out and put them back in. pretty easy stuff.
