My projet 316 E21 Baur

Post by Pedro G »

This one is a history of this that omly happen once.

Looking for an Seat (Fiat) 600 engine, I met this at the end of 2004 July.

Image

Verify that the car had propietary and was not of fall.

I moved everything movable and located her current adress, (not the one that was appearing in Traffic), stayed with she and bought it for an Euro.

I brought it to my cave and dismantled it completely

Image

On November, eight, it had just dismounted it and went to the coachbuilder to body restoration

Image

Restored and painted in lapisblau, go bak in march.

Image

I have taken the mechanics of another E21 that had only 60.000 Km when her owner died, his widow guarded it in the home garage for more than 12 years until it came to my.

Image

I have protected with double coat the low flor.

Image

And I have checked them clean windshield, the radiators and the heather, which I have returned to mount, have the tapestry and I line the interior amounts in black polyleather.

Image

To dismantle the original tapestry and to mount the new one.

Image

It to go down the supports, the wheels to mount him (185x70x13).

Image

I give that to mount a bonnet is delicate and difficult of noses, especially if it does not bring a assembly manual, After having mounted it, the experience says to me that always there is to begin overhead, (the last thing that I have done), and then to deal with the base, (the first thing that I did), stopping the wings by the end, nevertheless having made everything upside-down.

To be continued.

Best regards = Salu2

ALREDY ARE ENGINE WORKING!.

Image

(here it is possible to see my son Pepe G to the steering wheel).

We had some problems with the wather temperature, rose very high, today I have checked the thermostat and it works correctly, since the circuit had emptied it completely months ago, on having filled it I did not imagine that the level would go down so much. Every day are learned! And for much that you learn always you fall down in the same thing.

that I have controled whit this aeronautic dashboard.

Image

I have been looking for several solutions to mount the windshield without breaking it, one order to Carglass installing home, it is not very expensive, and two to improve my technology, in a glass specialist, they have explained me the solution, nothing of rope, it was my mistake, and this morning in one scraper I have found an E21 with the impeccable windshield, already I have it!, I expect not to return to break other one.

To be continued.

Best regards.
