not one.. but two 323i's!

Post by mbuus »

Here they are, two e21 323i's in decent condition both manuals.. the 323 on the left revs to 8000rpm it has a 288 cam and a few other goodies that make it about 170hp.. the body is too rusted though :(

The one on the right i bought on ebay thursday. She has a bit of rust but a reconditioned head.

Even if these examples are stripped for parts you still see 323 popping up for very reasonable prices lately. I saw a very nice example with about 180000km 5sp manual and interior in near perfect condition for 1800 a few months back.

So you dont have an excuse not coming to australia... 8)

My white e21 has a 2.7 kjet system setup very similar to nialls i recently found out, although it doesnt have the throttle body and cam. As for the silver one, the previous owner has had the head reconditioned with a custom made 288 cam and stronger valves/springs, head has been ported/polished and shaved 1mm upping compression, rotor arm has been replaced with some aftermarket one removing rev limiter, the engine revs freely and safely to 8000rpm and more making the car quite fast! I have yet to record a reliable 0-100km/h acceleration time.

The third one is just a stock 323 with a reconditioned head and a 5sp manual.

i wouldnt be counting on that lasting too long if thats all that was done. M20's are known to shear big end bolts clean off at high rpm, ends up with a terrible mess. Make sure the rods arent stock if you want to avoid heart ache :)

Nice work Mbuus,

Im interested in a few parts if you can spare them.

*Heater Panel and Controls (if in good cond)
*Boot pressure jiggy malligy plug for the boot light which makes it turn off

What are your consoles like??A/C or non A/C

I have a nice new non A/C console, but need the floor of the console.

ie. Number 15.

PM with prices if you want to sell.

Cheers
Windy

8000rpm in second gear?? Are you sure your not in first?

my stock 323i will do 100kph in second just on the rev limiter (6400rpm), maybe you have 318i diff and or dash in that thing?
